More About Coach William

I have been involved in the sport as an athlete for more than 35 years. I competed at the varsity level for 4 years at the high school and Collegiate Division III level, continuing after college with a club team. I have coached for more than 20 years at the Jr. High/High School, Collegiate and Club levels. I have coached both women and men, distance runners, sprinters/hurdlers and most field events.

Several of the athletes I have coached set school records, obtained college scholarships, qualified for HS State Championship, Collegiate National Championship and Post-Collegiate National Championship meets.

Coach William (Coach Bill) is obviously passionate about track and field. He made a 50-mile trip to come and visit us. While setting up the session, he was incredibly responsive. Moreover, he was extremely prepared at the start of session (for example, he brought a lot of gear with him). He also made great use of the session time and did a nice job covering the basics and providing examples of drills that could be completed long after the session. Coach Bill was great! He did an amazing job in the very first session breaking down my daughter's high jump approach and form into manageable chunks and gave her specific, easy to remember tips to focus on to improve. Very knowledgable, patient and attentive, and super flexible on scheduling the session. She's looking forward to her next two sessions with Coach Bill.

Coach William did a great job working with Julia with improving her long jump techniques, she learned a lot of things to help her improve to the next level, we will definitely be back for another session.

My daughter learned so much with just one lesson. He has so many ways for her to become a stronger hurdler. He coached her on the starting blocks and how big of a stride coming out of them. He is very knowledgeable on so many aspects of track. He has multiple ways if her becoming a stronger runner.
This is why he is a great coach! She is so excited to work on certain things and see him again in the future to see how much better she is doing! Thank you so much for all your help coach William.

Coach Bill was absolutely amazing! In my daughter's first session, he taught her some drills and helped her to correct her form. He is very patient and takes his time with her. He really is knowledgeable about all events in track and field. We will most definitely be continuing coaching sessions with Coach Bill!
Great practice session with Coach Bill- he was very helpful giving my daughter guidance and some new techniques to try in practicing her throwing (She only does throwing/ field events). Coach Bill was quite knowledgeable about the mechanics of throwing, and as my daughter practices and uses his suggestions she should get more distance (and confidence) in her throwing. Easy to work with, he was flexible in scheduling and in accommodating our location. Very positive experience with Coach Bill!
