More About Coach Victor

I have a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science in Human Performance from Texas A&M San Antonio. I currently just finished my internship at All Sports Speed & Conditioning where I worked with Athletes in levels ranging from High School, College, and the NFL to prepare them in speed and conditioning for their up coming season. I work with kids from grades 7th-12th for the past 3 years. I currently work at a Middle school where I have coached the past 3 years, I also have been working on the side with high school athletes in strength, agility, and conditioning and working with specific positional skills. My main position I specialize in is Defensive Line, but I also have knowledge and experience coaching Line Backers,Running Backs,and Offensive Line during my years of coaching Middle School. During my college athletic years at A&M Kingsville I sat out 2 season from injury and was a part of the defensive line coaching staff where I gained knowledge in coaching experience which prepared me to coach now.

I played football on all competitive levels up to college. In high school I received 1st Team All District and All Area awards for the city of San Antonio in the 28-6A district. I received a scholarship to play football at The University of Texas A&M Kingsville in the Lone Star Conference, where I played for 4 years till I had to hang up the cleats due to injury. During my years of playing for TAMUK I was apart of the 2009 Lone Star Conference Championship my first season.

When Coaching a specific position (Dline,LB,RB,Oline) I work with all fundamental techniques to the smallest detail.I feel like the little details are the largest difference when competing. Example for specific position Dline; explosion, agility, stance, get off, hand work, run game,pass game. Line Backers; Stance, Agility, reaction, pursuit, pass game, run game. Running Back; footwork, agility, ball security, read reaction, speed. Oline; stance, alignment, get off, holding a block for run and pass game.

When working on Strength, Conditioning, Agility, and Speed my first priority is muscle flexibility then conditioning. The athlete need to be conditioned and flexible before working on strength, agility and speed in order to prevent injury and maximize training improvements. The first couple of sessions will consist of workouts dealing with flexibility and conditioning with a couple of speed and agility drills for athletes to become familiar with exercises. Then integrating more speed, agility, and strengthening drills as the client improves and progresses throughout training sessions. Through all my sessions I will also be working on the mental aspect which plays the majority role in every sport. I will be encouraging but push the athlete to work to their greatest potential.
