Sessions begin with a discussion of training intentions, an overview of technical progressions, and a dynamic warmup! Athletes are guided through the warmup routine prior to engaging in technical work. Next, participants begin with basic throws movements focusing on one or multiple technical emphasis(es). Athletes will often utilize medicine balls, cones, PVC pipes, and other tools as a means of learning proper positioning, movement patterns, and progressions. Soon after, implements are incorporated to begin sequencing movements based on strong foundational concepts. All sessions wrap up with full throws incorporating feedback from the day's focuses. Finally, the training day concludes with a debrief on key cues for the athlete moving forward and a reflection on program made. This is intended to carry them into future throws sessions and competitions successfully!
