More About Coach Trev

I am a self proclaimed speed junkie. I have been athletic my whole life and focused on being faster and more explosive than whoever lined next to me. I have 15+ years in the military and I am the the father of five athletic boys. Along with being CPR certified, I am a NASE (National Association of Speed and Explosion) Certified Speed Specialist and hold the USTFCCCA (United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association) Track and Field Technical Certification. Additionally, I focus on training youth athletes through collegiate athletes.

Throughout my life I have participated in several sports or athletic events--from track (AAU/High School), Football (High School) to exploring combat sports through Krav Maga as an adult. I also weightlift with the intent of becoming a competitive powerlifter after retirement.

I am a firm believer in you cannot build speed without strength and resistance training. To do so would be the equivalent of putting a gokart engine in a Ferrari. It would look good but how would it perform? A typical session looks like the following"
1. Dynamic warmup
2. "Buy-in" exercise
3. Primary Lift with an explosive superset
4. Accessory Work
5. "Cashout" Exercise
6. Static Stretching
