Tony Vasaturo is a former Division I men’s basketball coach and a full-time NBA skill development specialist. Based in Southern California, Tony works year-round with NBA players during the off-season and in-season, helping them sharpen their skills, improve decision-making, and maximize performance.
With six years of collegiate coaching experience at UConn and UCF, Tony has trained thousands of athletes at every level—from youth to professionals. He has run multiple NBA pre-drafts helping players like Dyson Daniels, Josh Giddey, Luke Travers, and Mojave King achieve their professional dreams of hearing their name called on Draft night.
Tony Vasaturo understands what it takes to help athletes reach the next level. With a proven player development system trusted by NBA professionals and youth athletes alike, Tony has guided players to major milestones—including earning the NBA Most Improved Player Award and All-NBA Defensive Team honors.
Tony’s passion goes beyond the NBA. He is dedicated to developing youth players in Southern California and worldwide, giving them the tools, confidence, and foundation needed to succeed on and off the court. Parents trust Tony for his proven track record, teaching style, and ability to connect with athletes of all ages.
I was fortunate enough to work hard and win a state championship in high school. I also had a scholarship to play at Aurora University in Illinois. I actually played football in college and worked my way into the starting rotation within my first year. In the offseason, I helped with the men's basketball program at Aurora where I fell in love with the process and knew where my passion was. I transferred to UCF to coach basketball at the highest level in order to make an immediate impact in the basketball world. I believe having both football and basketball in my background has helped me with training my athletes, and being able to relate to a bigger variety of athletes when it comes to building a solid foundation.
You can expect passion and energy when you step on court with Tony Vasaturo with precision and attention to detail like no other. You will also be pushed past your comfort zone. I train everyone to the highest level, and that has given the best results for improvement. Coach Tony is a great coach. As soon as he arrived he came with a set mind and ready to go, not wasting anytime and ready to train.
