More About Coach Tim
I am a RRCA Level I running coach. I am new to coaching, but have been a runner for about 30 years and have completed 10 marathons and numerous other running races ranging from 5K to half-marathon distance.
A firm believer in coaching. I have been coached myself for most of my running career. Besides my formal coaching education, I have learned a great deal from other coaches and training partners. I love passing on this vast information I have learned to others and being able to specifically apply it to each athlete's individual needs to help them be successful.
I have been a runner for about 30 years and have completed 10 marathons and numerous other running races ranging from 5K to half-marathon distance, as well as obstacle and terrain style runs.
My initial meeting with athletes include an assessment to determine their current fitness level and goals. I then would run with them and analyze their gait and shoes, if possible. We would then discuss what their weekly schedule is like so that we can work out a progressive schedule that incorporates balance with work, family and other life activities. Communication and feedback is incredibly important to monitor any potential injuries and to know when to move up to the next level.
