I have coached football at the youth, and high school varsity level. I am currently the varsity D-line coach, and assistant O-line coach at hilltop high school in Chula Vista, CA. My current Job is “Regional Director” for “Youth Pros”, a California based youth sports company focused on athlete development. I am certified through “NFHS” with the sweet water high school district.

I played football for 11 years. I was a 3 time all league varsity player in my conference as an O/D-lineman (primarily left tackle/gaurd). I was also named O-lineman of the year in my division my senior year of high school. I did not play at the college level, as I got into my passion of coaching right after high school.

Typically, I tend to focus on the fundamentals of being a lineman, such as hand placement/movement and footwork, as I believe that is the best base to succeed. Hand to eye coordination is very important, so athletes could expect a variety of compact cone drills, with an element of tracking with the head up. They can also expect a small amount of conditioning to keep the athletes ready to play at all times. I also implement a shot instructional talk, as I find if the athlete can explain why they are doing something, then they will be able to preform the task at a high level.
