Hello, I'm Theo, and I can help your middle or high school distance runner or soccer player achieve their athletic goals. Many young runners and soccer players fall short of their potential due to poor running form, inadequate nutrition, lack of core body strength or inefficient off-season training. As a father of three daughters—two of whom competed in college—I understand the challenges and can provide the guidance and structure your child needs to reach their full potential.
I was a semi-professional soccer player and ran my first marathon in 2000. Since then, I’ve completed hundreds of races, ranging from 5Ks to ultramarathons, including the Boston Marathon and the Western States 100-Mile Endurance Run.
1. Running Form and Gait Analysis: Many runners struggle with inefficient or suboptimal running form. I provide a detailed evaluation of your running mechanics and offer personalized advice and drills to help correct any inefficiencies.
2. Supplemental Strength Training: Structured strength training is vital for runners of all ages to mitigate the risk of injuries and improve performance. I offer guidance on integrating a variety of upper and lower-body strength training exercises to ensure a well-balanced physique
3. Offseason Training Plan: For runners and soccer players, maintaining and improving the aerobic base is crucial. Whether your child is a multi-sport athlete or focuses solely on cross country and track, it's essential to have a well-balanced offseason approach to support their development as an athlete.
4. College Recruiting: As the father of two daughters who competed in college, I’m well-versed in navigating the college recruiting process. I can guide your child through every step, helping them find the right fit for their athletic and academic goals.
