More About Coach Terrick
I currently coach and train a group of six young athletes, ranging in age from 6 to 10 years old. My focus with this age group is to develop fundamental movement skills, introduce proper technique, and build their confidence in athletic settings. I create a structured but fun environment that keeps kids engaged while building a strong athletic foundation.
My experience began in high school, where I helped lead by example during track and football drills. I was often chosen to demonstrate drills and mentor younger teammates, which sparked my passion for guiding others in sports. While I’ve spent most of my career as a competitor, I’ve worked closely with and learned from elite coaches who have developed state champions across multiple sports.
Though I’m still early in my professional coaching journey, I’ve trained under highly respected coaches and taken those lessons into my own sessions. I’ve absorbed a wide range of effective training methods, from speed and agility development to sport-specific techniques, which I now pass on to younger athletes.
Right now, I primarily coach youth athletes, ages 6 to 10, but I’m prepared to expand into middle and high school levels as my experience grows. I’m currently working on earning certifications to strengthen my knowledge base and better serve my athletes. My long-term goal is to continue growing FSPT Academy and become a trusted figure in athletic development for youth and beyond.
In high school for football alone I was 1st team all conference, 1st team all region, League offensive player of the year, and for track I was 2021&2022 All league, 2021&2022 League champions 100 meters, school freshman recorder holder 100 meters, 2022 CIF finalists 100 meters, 4x100 meters division 1 champ, 4x100 meters open division champ, 4x100 meters school record holder, and CIF open division qualifier for state.
A client can expect the session to be an hour and a half. I focus specifically on building form/technique and transforming that into speed. A session will typically go in this order. Cool down stretch, Warm-up, and then the workout of the day. At first things will start off easy and mainly be learning. After that it will transition into harder sessions.
