More About Coach Steve

Experience: 3 years experience training athletes from all types of sports and military (wrestling, lacrosse, football, gymnasts, basketball, mixed martial arts, boxing etc..). I have had the privilege to work with a UFC fighter and a few semi professional athletes. Many of the athletes I train do go on to the next level and perform quite well. Currently, the majority of my athletes I am training are focused on lacrosse, wrestling, combat sports and military preparation, due to my own past athletic background.

Levels coached: K-12, collegiate, pro

Normal age group: elementary on up to college

Industry Certifications: NSCA CSCS, ACE Personal Trainer, USAW Level 1

Athletic background: Wrestled and played lacrosse for 6 yrs at the K-12 level

4 years of college lacrosse, also currently still playing in adult leagues

Typical session schedule:

Warm up: Foam rolling (SMR), dynamic warm up/ muscle activation techniques to open up the hips, loosen up the upper body etc..., light reps and sets...

After warm up: Depending on the goals of the training session, work on developing speed, power, strength, core through multiple strategies. Usage of free weights, sled work, band resisted exercises, med balls, slam balls, and more.

Cooldown: passive stretching, active stretching
