More About Coach Stephen
Have worked in the strength and conditioning industry, on and off since 1994. Currently, I train members of the Dana Hills High School football and track and field teams, as well as various adults.
In my younger years, I played basketball, until I stopped growing, and realized I was a power forward in a point guard's body. I also played football in high school, as well as some lacrosse. I would consider myself to have been an average level athlete. Throughout my life, I have spent a lot of time in different martial arts arenas, as well as always having a passion for the weight room. It was about ten year ago when I stepped up my understanding of the best ways to take a human body and make it stronger, faster, quicker, and more powerful. It is now a full-time pursuit through my business, EPE Training Systems. The EPE stands for "exercise performance enhancement".
I have my own training facility (the EPE Training Center) which is the only gym of it's kind in all of Orange County. You will not find another location so well equipped in the area. This allows me to really key in helping athletes realize their athletic potential. A lot of my training stems from University of Minnesota's Cal Dietz' Triphasic Block Periodization system. This system has worked wonders on making athletes stronger, faster, and more explosive. I am not a skills coach, I focus on making athletes more athletic!
You'll learn how to properly squat, deadlift, power clean etc. You will perform explosive training, such as various jumps, Supercat jump squats, and med ball work, to enhance your ability to explode better than you ever have, in your arena of competition!
