More About Coach Stefan
I have experience as a Track and Field practice leader and mentor during my time at Tufts University, coaching my peers. I Led about 10 athletes through fall preseason workouts, implementing some of my own mobility techniques and motivating them to reach general fitness and event specific goals; these athletes went on to score points at the New England Indoor Championships in February 2018, contributing to the team win. In the 2018 Conference Championship these jumpers scored a combined 13 more points than any other team's jumpers.
I also have 5 summers worth of experience coaching kids from grade school to high school.
I also hold an NASM-CPT certification.
Currently, I’m a jumps coach at Columbia University
I competed at Tufts University on the varsity basketball and track & field teams. There, I garnered an Indoor National Championship in the high jump, the third best Division III high jump mark of all time (2.20m, 7’2.5), New England Field Athlete of the Year Award, and three All-American honors.
I am highly mobility-oriented and focused on achieving the most efficient movement patterns since years of improper posture and incorrect training have the tendency to disrupt our innate movement patterns and cause muscle imbalance/injury. My mobility training entails using a full range of motion through exercises and self-massage techniques with foam rollers and lacrosse balls.
Clients can expect drills requiring a variety of movements that are centered on increasing body awareness and coordination, leading to increases in muscle recruitment, and thus power output.

Although Stefan isn't seasoned on CoachUp, he does not lack experience in coaching and is very knowledgeable! I have been high jumping for 6 years (collegiate level along with various track clubs), yet I was still able to learn new things from Stefan. I entered the training session not feeling my greatest or expecting much to come out of that day, but after making a couple slight adjustments in my technique (with very simple, easy to understand queue words) I was able to jump a height that I hadn’t in the last few years! I would highly recommend Stefan!
