More About Coach Shawn

I have personally trained and helped train others in kickboxing and Muay Thai. I have coached amateur fighters. I have been building my own business, SMPR Fitness, and I am personally training other individually for kickboxing in the Bend, Oregon area. I typically have worked with young to older adults.

I have competed in the US Muay Thai Open in 2016 in Phoenix, Arizona. I have fought in the UCFC Muay Thai show in Arizona. I am currently training for upcoming fights including the Annual Muay Thai Cultural Event in Tacoma, Washington and the TBA Classic Muay Thai World Expo in Des Moines, Iowa.

A session includes a 60 minute workout, starting with a 10 to 15 minute warm-up involving speed agility ladder drills, jump rope, stretching and shadow boxing, among other exercises. Then the workout itself is 25-30 minutes of Muay Thai or kickboxing drills, which are set up based on the individual's level of experience. For example it might be mostly focused on teaching basic footwork or body stance movements. Finally the cool down involves stretching, sit-ups, push-ups, and other various exercises.
