More About Coach Sean

As an athlete, I competed in 4 years of varsity level water polo and 2 years of track and field in high school. After a fairly successful high school career I enlisted in the United States Navy, where I continued my pursuit of physical fitness. I graduated boot camp in November 2006 and left for Aviation Rescue Swimmer School immediately following, I graduated in February 2007. I conducted countless training evolutions to remain proficient, as well as volunteering to be a member of the VBSS team (a highly trained security team, tasked with boarding searching and seizing foreign vessels on the high sea). I also was the assistant to the command fitness counselor, where I was partially responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining individuals fitness goals. I left the military in 2010, and did a few odd jobs until recently when I decided that fitness was the industry I wanted to pursue. I am scheduled to take my CPT exam in early september, which will qualify me as a master trainer. I also currently compete/participate in various running and endurance events all over southern California.

As an athlete I am constantly pushing the envelope, constantly striving to be faster stronger, go farther, be better. I am a firm believer that everything is mental, and with a strong will and a tough mind you can do anything you set your mind to. With that said, I personally have completed many local 5k and 10k charity races, I recently ran the inaugural Disney Dumbo Double Dare challenge with a 55lb ruck on my back. I have run the SoCal Tough Mudder, also encumbered by a 55lb ruck. I have also successfully completed 4 GoRuck Challenges, totaling approximately 100 miles and 50+ hours. I have also completed a 50 mile Ultramarathon. I am currently training for my most daunting event and the crown jewel of my carreer thus far. GoRuck Selection, a 48+ hour 50+ mile event designed to mimic Special Forces Assessment and Selection.

My one on one sessions are pretty straight forward, I like to begin with a health screening to ensure that both the client and I have a firm understanding of their current health conditions and or physical limitations. Then the hour long sessions begins with a light callisthenic warm up and stretching. After the client is warmed up I will begin the training session. Utilizing a combination of body weight, traditional equipment and unconventional fitness apparatuses you will spend the remaining time pushing, pulling, jumping, sprinting, and smiling your way through one of the most unique, challenging, and gratifying workout of your life. My hope is that every time you walk away from a training session with me that you feel accomplished and ready to take any challenge that you might face head on, with a smile. Weather it’s a marathon you’ve been training for or the daily challenges of life, with your new found fervor you can live each day to its fullest.
