More About Coach Sean

I have a decade's experience working with offensive line and skill positions at the high school and NCAA level. This has spanned from the high school and Division 3 college level in California to the division 2 level in the Midwest. I then led one of the top offenses in the country at the division 3 level at Ithaca College in New York before moving to the FCS level in Philadelphia. I have a USA Weightlifting certification for training and programming purposes.

Here is my bio:
Before coming to the University of Pennsylvania as Tight Ends coach in 2023, Sean Reeder served as offensive coordinator at Ithaca College. His 2022 offense helped guide the Bombers to their first Elite 8 appearance since 2003, averaging nearly 40 points and 400 yards per game while developing the Conference Offensive Player of the Year in Quarterback AJ Wingfield and 2-time All American Offensive Lineman Jake Villanueva.

Sean Reeder was hired to Ithaca College in 2017. Reeder made an immediately impact in the offense's production, as the Bombers rushed for nearly 40 more yards (118.5 to 70.8) from a season ago (2016 to 2017) and allowed 21 fewer sacks (19 to 40). Ithaca also averaged five more points per game. Two linemen were named All-Liberty League at the end of the season (Geoff Bell '18 and Jae Choi '20).

In 2018, seniors Jake Bernstein and Bobby Puckey were named All-Liberty League after another productive season on the line. IC averaged 22.9 points and 352.9 yards per game. Bernstein would also be named All-ECAC, while the duo earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors.

The 2019 Bombers were one of the most prolific offenses in program history. Ithaca averaged 37.6 points per game and 447.8 yards of offense. IC averaged 323.0 yards passing and 124.8 yards rushing. The Bombers scored more than 30 points in seven games, including 66 in the opener against Saint Vincent and 59 against St. Lawrence and Rochester.

The 2021 Ithaca Offense led the Liberty League in yards per game and produced an All-American in Right Guard Jake Villanueva.

Reeder came to IC after a two-year stint at Division II Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska, where he served as offensive line coach, mentoring 4 all NSIC All-Conference OL in his time there.

Prior to that, he spent a year at California Lutheran University as a tight ends and assistant offensive line coach for the Kingsmen. He also assisted at Agoura High School for the 2013 season.

As a student-athlete, Reeder played at Johns Hopkins University and graduated in 2013. While a part of the Hopkins program, Reeder played in three NCAA Division III playoffs as an offensive lineman.

Reeder earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from JHU and his master's in Exercise Science at Wayne State College.

I competed as a high school student at one of the top programs in the state of California, winning 2 state championships as an offensive lineman before continuing my career at the college level. I played offensive line for a perennial top 15 program at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore playing for for the one of the most respected head coaches in the country in Jim Margraff, winning the team "Unsung Hero" award for my accomplishments as a Senior.

Each session will be tailored to the skill development of the individual athlete. The position focus will be dependent on the player. We will begin with a base understanding of posture and necessary strength and movement mechanics and then build to more advanced techniques as the player progresses. This will include multiple football positions from both skill to line and either side of the ball.

Client Reviews

Coach Sean is a great coach! He took the time to understand what our athlete was looking to improve, observed our athletes movements, and then implemented drills and movements to improve desired skills. We definitely highly recommend Coach Sean!

Sean is an excellent coach, always comes prepared and has a great plan to practice. Very responsive and willing to go the extra mile to help you grow.

Coach Sean is Great! In one session we could see how thorough and patient Coach is. Our son came away with clear understanding of each technique he was taught, and immediately felt the difference in his throwing. He is eager to continue these techniques, learn more, and continue his training with Coach Sean.

Coach Sean is an excellent coach. He's great with the kids. Even younger ones. He has patients with the younger ones without babying them. We just started working with him, but we are looking forward to great things!!

Sean is a really sincere guy who is paying it forward with my son Wyatt (12yo) even though he really doesn’t have to - former OC at previous university and now o-line coach at UPenn, the only reason he’s working with Wyatt is because he loves football and wants kids to have great experiences playing. Fantastic opportunity to work with him.
