More About Coach Ryan

I have experience coaching at both the high school and college level. I recently just coached for 2 years as a Graduate Assistant at Texas A&M Kingsville, working with the defensive backs. In the past, I have coached defensive backs coach at Occidental College (Eagle Rock, CA) for 2 seasons, as well as various positions at Hoover High School in (Glendale, CA) for 3 seasons, including offensive coordinator, quarterbacks and defensive backs coach. In addition, I have served as a recruiting coordinator at Occidental College, which will help me help you through the recruiting process if need be.

I played both high school and college football, starting at multiple positions during my career. In college at Occidental, I entered the school as a quarterback before being switched to receiver my junior season. I earned 2nd team All Conference that year, leading the conference in catches. My senior season, I played safety in addition to receiver, and earned Defensive Back of the Year for my team. In high school, I played quarterback and safety. My senior season, I earned team and league MVP awards, 1st team All League quarterback, 2nd team All League safety, and 3rd team All Bay Area (Contra Costa Times) utility player.

This will depend on your position and what we determine you want to get out of your workouts.
Always incorporated will be footwork drills, eye work, how to understand the game mentally, and position specific skills.

Coach Ryan was really great with my son, very thorough, great attention to detail and patience. I saw improvement on day one. I would recommend and definitely signing up again.

I've had a few lessons with Coach Ryan now and his teaching methods are off the charts! I was having difficulty focusing on certain hand techs until coach mentioned visually learning we then applied it to me and were back on track! I can't recommend him enough!

Coach Ryan was very upbeat and supportive. Also very clear on what he wanted my son to work on. His drills were spot on.

Coach Ryan is a superb coach. Other coaches have told me what I was doing wrong, but Ryan is teaching me how to do it right.
