More About Coach Ron

I have had playing experience at The University of Delaware (2001) and Virginia Tech (1997-2000) as a defensive end and special teams player. I began my college coaching career at Montclair State University in 2003, where I coached the defensive line in a 3-4 front and assisted in coaching special teams before moving on to American International College (AIC) in 2005 until 2009. At AIC I held positions as co-defensive coordinator, video coordinator, and assistant special teams coordinator. I also earned a Masters degree in Human Resource Development while coaching there. In my last position as a college coach at Kentucky State University, I was the defensive line coach, punt return and kickoff coach, and academic liaison for the football team.
I have 12 years coaching experience, 6 in college and 6 in high school. I have also done position specific training for Velocity Sports and have coached at Offense-Defense Camps. Each year I am consistently striving to be a better coach and improve my leadership skills with every opportunity available. In October of 2012 I had a clinic article that I wrote published by X & O Labs and posted online. I have attended the professional development series as a member of the American Football Coaches Association, and in May of 2009 I was invited to attend the NCAA Coaches Football Academy in Indianapolis, Indiana.

I enjoy working with student-athletes and having the opportunity to help them succeed in reaching their goals in education as well as athletics. I am a very diligent, dependable, and family oriented person who is always looking to help others before I can help myself.

Client Reviews

Today was my son's first coaching session with coach Ron. He seemed very professional and knowledgeable about the fundamentals of football. In just one session my son was shown so much more than he ever knew about football .
