More About Coach Reid

I have experience helping high school athletes become faster, including myself. One of the athletes I worked with went from an 11.6 to a 10.9 in the 100m over one off season. Using the same approach, I went from 21.7mph to 24.3mph in 7 months. I have oriented around figuring out the best ways to become a better mover. By honing in on biological imperatives, I was able to cut through the nonsensical training methods and find what truly generates speed.

I’ve played football my entire life becoming pretty good at the wide receiver position. Due to poor qb and oline performance I transitioned to an individual sport, track and field. I ended up jumping 6’8 in the high jump and running 11 flats in the 100m throughout highschool. By learning more about biomechanics I was able to increase my speed from the time of the 11 flats by a little over 2 mph. I know run and jump at the d1 level.

Hour to hour half sessions with a focus on what the client needs to move better. This will be a lot of learning and more importantly, application. We will use tools like the exergenie for acceleration development. We can separate sessions into acceleration and max velocity or touch on them both within each session. The location will be at the UNCW track.
