More About Coach Reece

I have experience leading and organizing training sessions for athletes at multiple competitive levels, ranging from youth and high school athletes to collegiate players. Since finishing my playing career this past season, I have worked independently running both individual and group training sessions focused on wide receiver and tight end development.

I have trained athletes competing at the NCAA Division One FCS, Division Two, and Division Three levels, along with high school athletes from highly competitive 5A and 6A programs. Because I recently finished playing college football myself, I am able to provide athletes with current, real-world knowledge of what college coaches expect and what it takes to compete at higher levels of football.

My training style focuses heavily on fundamentals, route running, releases, footwork, body control, and the small technical details that often separate good players from great ones. I also emphasize confidence, football IQ, and understanding defensive leverage.

I can work with athletes of all ages and skill levels, whether someone is just beginning to learn the position or preparing for varsity football and college recruiting. While I currently train independently, my experience competing and training at the collegiate level has allowed me to build sessions that mirror the intensity and structure of higher-level football development.

I competed at both the NCAA Division One and Division Two collegiate football levels as a Wide Receiver in the United States. Over the course of my college career, I played three years at the Division One level and one year at the Division Two level, which allowed me to experience multiple systems, coaching styles, and levels of competition. Competing at these levels taught me the discipline, attention to detail, and work ethic required to succeed in college football.

Throughout my career, I recorded a combined 1,032 receiving yards, 89 catches, and 10 touchdowns. During the 2025 season, I also finished with 0 drops and averaged 11.69 yards per catch, which reflects my focus on consistency, reliability, and strong route-running skills.

My collegiate experience includes:
University of Kansas (2021–2023) – NCAA Division One
Lindenwood University (2024) – NCAA Division One
William Jewell College (2025) – NCAA Division Two

Playing at multiple collegiate levels has given me valuable insight into what coaches look for in receivers and tight ends, along with what it truly takes to compete and earn opportunities at the next level.

A typical session with me is designed to prepare athletes for the college level, both physically and mentally. I focus heavily on the details that separate average receivers and tight ends from high-level players. Many of the drills I run are the same types of drills used by Power 4 college programs during practice, because I want athletes to understand what will be expected of them at the next level.

Throughout the session, we work on releases, route running, footwork, body control, and learning how to properly set up defenders. A major emphasis is placed on technique because the basics are often what athletes struggle to truly master. We also focus on creating separation, attacking leverage, and becoming more efficient in and out of breaks.

My coaching style is very detail-oriented, similar to how college receiver coaches operate. I believe small adjustments can make a huge difference in performance. I also offer film review sessions where we can break down your own film to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. My goal is not only to help athletes improve their skills, but also to help them better understand the game and prepare for the recruiting process and the expectations of college football.
