My name is Rocky Feeney I've been involved with youth football since 1986 in Delavan Wisconsin from coaching to running the league. I have personally selected and sometimes had to let go more coaches then I can remember. With that said I appreciate you asking for a testimonial on a new coach. I first met Ray from a friend who runs a fitness center specializing in high school and college athletes. I was impressed and someway intimidated at his workouts. I remember one day seeing Ray outside of the gym in a big tub of ice water for what seems like 30 minutes. When I watch Ray interactions it was a joy to see the rapport he has with the kids. Ray was at the gym for self-improvement but that didn't stop him from taking the time to help the lineman from our high school improve their skill set one of which was my son Troy who immediately bonded with Ray. You know the story, a father say something and he doesn't listen but when Ray would says it he pays attention. That's how much my son respects him. If you have the opportunity to retain Ray for his coaching expertise I would not hesitate. But it would not be just for his knowledge but for his ability to communicate with younger kids.

I am writing a reference on behalf of Ray McNeil specifically relating to his youth training and coaching experience here in Delavan, Wisconsin. I had the great joy of experiencing Ray's character and enthusiasm while he was coaching and training with the kids in our community. Ray connected with the kids in our program on many different levels ranging from training and coaching, to teaching life's lessons. Watching Ray connect with players was a lot of fun. Players really listened to Ray intently and genuinely picked up and learned new drills, new technique's and overall how to better themselves not only as players, but as young men . Ray quickly was the talk of the town because of his impact on the youth in the community. Coaching and training youth can have its challenges with attn span, and learning curves as any coach or trainer will tell you….However, make no mistake that when Ray was coaching or training, kids listen, they listen intently, and most importantly, they apply his knowledge very quickly. Amazing to see how quick kids actually applied their knowledge from Ray to game situations or in the gym. The " transition " as we call it was incredible to watch. Ray is a true inspiration to anyone that has the opportunity to spend time with him. I would highly recommend Ray to anyone thinking of having their kids coached or trained by Ray. Ray is truly missed by our community and kids since he transferred to Florida. We all miss his wisdom and leadership immensely.
