More About Coach Quinton
I have extensive experience coaching and training athletes across various levels, from youth to competitive adult athletes. I have worked as a coach at local youth sports clubs, as well as in high school varsity sports and college settings, focusing on both individual skill development and team dynamics. My coaching and training experience spans sports like soccer, basketball, football, baseball, and track and field.
I was a scholar football student- athlete at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. I was voted Team captain and made the dean list 2 out of the 4 years I was there. Graduated with a bachelors in Exercise Science and mastered in Sports Administration.
A typical session with me begins with a dynamic warm-up to prepare the body for movement and reduce the risk of injury. This includes mobility exercises, activation drills, and light cardio to elevate the heart rate, with a focus on joint mobility and dynamic stretching to enhance flexibility and performance.
Next, we move into sport-specific drills or performance exercises tailored to the athlete's goals. For speed, we work on acceleration and deceleration, while strength sessions involve compound movements like squats and power cleans. Agility drills, such as cone and ladder exercises, are also incorporated to improve coordination and quickness.
Throughout the session, I prioritize proper form and technique, offering real-time feedback on posture, breathing, and body mechanics to maximize effectiveness. The session wraps up with a cool-down, including static stretching and mobility exercises to promote recovery and flexibility. This structured approach helps athletes improve performance while minimizing the risk of injury, ensuring long-term progress and success.
