More About Coach Peter
I bring to the table my experience as an athlete, student, and coach. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) while also being a four-year starter on the baseball team. Despite being drafted my junior year by the Washington Nationals, I chose to go on and pursue a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Strength, Conditioning, and Fitness. While completing this degree, I served as a graduate assistant in the Compliance and Eligibility office of the UGA Athletic Association in addition to completing internships in the University of Georgia and University of Washington Olympic Sports weight rooms working with men's & women's swimming, baseball, softball, women's soccer, women's crew, gymnastics, men's & women's basketball, to name a few.
Currently I am serving as the Associate Director of Healthy Body for Athlos Academies, an educational service provider based out of Boise.
Most recently, I served as the Head Sports Performance Coach with STACK Sports Performance & Therapy- Atlanta, a premier strength and conditioning facility for athletes ages 8 years old through professional athletes in addition to training adults in the areas of strength and general fitness.
Prior to STACK, I served as the Lead Performance Coach at Athlos Leadership Academy San Antonio where I coached grades 1st-12th in Athletic Conditioning; redefining the meaning of physical education. Students were coached in the areas of starts, pure acceleration, max velocity, multi direction, and strength/power in addition to sport skills. The curriculum was created through Athlos’ partnership with STACK Velocity Sports Performance.
Aside from coaching, I enjoy mountain biking, building furniture, working out, cooking, skiing, and having out with our three dogs (who always keeps things interesting). Recently I moved from Marietta, GA where my wife Jessica is finishing out the school year as a second grade teacher before joining me out west.
-The University of Georgia Baseball Team 4-Year Starter

-39th Round Draft Pick: Washington Nationals, 2011
-3x All-State (Virginia)

A typical session would be based on your particular needs/goals as an athlete in addition to the needs of your particular sport/activity. Gaining a solid foundation of movement in the areas of acceleration and multidtreciton is important for any sport in addition to strength & power training. Sessions can either combine both movement and strength work or can be on separate days. My sessions are a balance of technical and applicable with regards to movement training. A strength session will be a balance session using proper progressions of complex exercises to get the most "bang for your buck".
