Currently Boys & Girls Sprinters Coach North Fort Myers High since 2014, previously Sprinters Coach East Lee County High 2010 - 2014. I also coached 13 years Pop Warner Football for multiple teams & all levels from Tiny Mite to Senior Midget as Defensive Coordinator, Offensive Coordinator & Head Coach. Charlotte Warriors 2000 - 2001 Defensive Coach , Ft Myers Fire cats 2001 - 2004 as Defensive Coach, & Lehigh Raiders. 2005 - 2010 as Head Coach of Tiny Mites, Mitey Mites, Junior Midget and Senior Midget. In addition I coached AAU basketball for 2 years with High Hoops of Ft Myers 2008 - 2010, along with coaching YMCA youth Soccer 2001 - 2005 & Lehigh Recreation youth Soccer for 3 years ages 5yo & 10 year old 2012 -2015
I played Soccer for 27 years beginning as a youngster growing up in Jamaica WI and as an Amateur for an Adult league as a teen from age 17 in Hartford Ct. I was a defensive starter. I was a 4 year Soccer starter at Hartford Public High fro 1982 -1986.District first team 3 of 4 years, I moved on to play 2 years at Division 2 Southern Ct State University from 1986 -1988.
Our session plan is a progressive speed program in which the warmup and stretching drills are the same each session. Focus is fundamentals, techniques, form. We then proceed into Form Drills, sitting arm action, Wall Drill 1 strike, Acceleration Drill, leaning start for 10yds, ( 2 ea leg, rest is walk back)
2 min rest between exercises
Kneeling starts (2 ea leg, rest is walk back)
50 jog, run backwards 50 yds (repeat 3x)
10 Squats + 50yd jog
10 Lunges (ea leg)
10 side lunge (ea leg) + 50yd jog
10 mountain climbers (ea leg) + 50yd jog
10 speed skaters - (ea leg) + 50yd jog
10 pogo jump - + 50yd jog
10 star jump + 50yd jog
10 hurdle stretch - side to side (10 each side)
STRECTCHING (mild & under control)
10 iron crosses
10 scorpions
10 inverted flutter kick
10 inverted bicycle kicks
10 leg swings (side to side, back & forth)
