More About Coach Pamela

I have over 4 years of teaching experience with students of all levels, including kids, and seniors. I also have experience teaching adults at the university level. My expertise extends into teaching Yoga, Pilates/barre, Pre-Postnatal wellness, muscle scraping/gua sha, holistic stretch therapy, myofascial work, dance, meditation, somatics, breathwork, strengthening & conditioning, and group fitness classes in studios, resorts, and schools. I have taught in Florida, Utah, Idaho, and online. I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance with an emphasis on Pedagogy/Education from Brigham Young University-Idaho while simultaneously earning my 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Certification, certified through Yoga Alliance. I am also a certified Behavior Tech and hold a K-12 Dance educator certificate.

I strive to continually increase my knowledge in wellness to give the best experiences to my students. Recently, I received my muscle scraping Gua Sha certification. I also recently established the only Pre-Postnatal yoga classes in a small town with a high birth rate with limited resources, while I concurrently worked on my 80 hour Pre/Postnatal yoga certification. I also created 1 on 1 sessions specializing in holistic stretch therapy with myofascial release. I am an experienced Yoga, Pilates, and dance teacher, as well as a certified K-12 educator. My Yoga Teacher Certification is through Yoga Alliance. I am trained in both International and American styles of ballroom dance, as well as various social dances such as swing, salsa, and merengue. I have performed salsa and competed in ballroom competitions at Brigham Young University-Idaho, achieving top-five placements.

My experience extends to world dance, jazz dance, modern dance, contemporary dance, and ballet. Other notable achievements include completing a successful dance internship at a Title I public school, choreographing several dance and color guard pieces that have received superior ratings, and performing in Brigham Young University-Idaho’s dance show, Extravadance, as a member of the collegiate dance team. I was employed as Brigham Young University-Idaho’s dance office aide, assistant taught ballroom dance classes, and taught yoga classes with over 40 students on campus.

The practice will depend on the needs and goals of the students. We will discuss your physical limitations, practice level, and goals. I will then conduct a class that is anatomically sound, from a holistic wellness approach, using modalities such as somatics, myofascial release, essential oils, breathwork, body alignment, body strengthening, and stretching to create an atmosphere of mind-body awareness.

Each class will be completely tailored for your body. Classes typically includes a warm-up, strengthening and conditioning, dance technique, chorography, and cool down with stretches to recover.
I enjoy seeing the growth and confidence my students experience through my classes.
