More About Coach Nikki
-B.S. Kinesiology Exercise Science
-ACSM CPT (American College of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer)
Currently I am a Volunteer Assistant Athletic Performance Coach at San Jose State University where I work with all of the Olympic Sports such as Women's basketball, waterpolo, softball, soccer, and men's basketball, baseball, and soccer. I have also done personal training with athletes trying to develop themselves to reach the collegiate level, as well as adults simply trying to lose weight or become stronger and healthier.
I played 4 years of collegiate basketball. Two years at a Ohlone College in Fremont, CA, then transferred to Cal State University Monterey Bay where I played three years (one injured year). At my time at CSUMB I earned New Comer of the Year in the CCAA Conference and the same year our team made it to the NCAA tournament.
Each session is completely individualized based on age, health status, training age, athletic ability, and goals. Each client will begin with a FMS (Functional Movement Screening) done during the first session. A typical session would include a dynamic warm up, activation exercises based on what primary exercises/lifts are being performed that day, aerobic or anaerobic conditioning, lifting, and concluding with PNF stretching/foam roller/lax ball for myofscial release.
My philosophy: My programs will always emphasize injury prevention, to do this I train my athletes to have a universal base in all aspects of athletic performance to be as functional as possible for their respective sport. These aspects include: character/mindset, strength, power, flexibility, mobility, stability/core strength, aerobic conditioning, anaerobic conditioning, nutrition, and hydration. Once the athlete(s) have a universal base of strength, technique, and knowledge, then will I implement and individualize sport specific programming.

Client Reviews
Gabby - Client (Testimonial)
Nikki has done a great job not only helping me reach my goals but does a great job teaching me how and why we do certain exercises. I've gained so much muscle compared to where I started and now I can't wait to workout every time!
