More About Coach Nicholas
Sensei Nicholas Kiefer began his martial arts journey in 2002 and has spent over 10 years training between Roman-Greco style Wrestling, Shindo-Jinen-Ryu Karate, and ChunJiDo.
Nicholas began to test his karate skills in the late 2000s and competed in various tournaments including the Mighty River Classic and Shorin-Ryu Open Karate Championships. Nicholas placed and won trophies and medals in each of the tournaments that he competed in.
Nicholas was given the wonderful opportunity to travel as a part of a church mission trip from 2011 – 2012 where he gave karate demonstrations all over the United States and overseas in Trinidad and Tobago. He also taught as an assistant karate instructor at a public charter school in Harlem, NY.
I have placed in top three for every tournament that I competed in including Shorinryu Open 2011, Mighty River Classic 2012 and 2013. I have been awarded first and second place for kata (technical routines) and have placed in sparring (fighting) as well which sets an example of my abilities as a martial artist against others in competition.
Do you want to learn self-defense in a quick and safe manner? Is joining a karate class not in your schedule or too embarrassing for you? Are you looking to learn basic self-defense without all the fluff? Private self-defense lessons are the answer you are looking for.
If you're looking to lose weight, gain confidence, and a new hobby to practice every day then karate is the better option for you. I also teach private karate lessons where you will learn all the cool things from traditional karate.
