More About Coach Neil
I worked as an assistant soccer coach at my high School in Trinidad & Tobago. I also helped coach Schenley High School Soccer team while a graduate student in Pittsburgh. I enjoyed coaching my graduate school classmates to run their first 5 and 10K races. This is the point where i decided to earn my NASM CPT certification. I have a great passion for blending physical fitness with science to help create the best version of yourself in an sport-focused or personal journey. Everyone's background is different and i enjoy working with clients in helping them discover their path to healthy and happy living
I have played soccer all my life. I earned the best player awards in High School. I earned a scholarship to play soccer at NCAA D-II level in the competitive Sunshine State Conference. I earned a roster spot and started 7 games for the semi-professional NPSL team Nashville FC while pursuing post-doctoral studies. Amongst soccer, I have completed many 5 and 10K races, half marathons, full marathon and three urbanathlons.
A client can expect an engagement of the mind and body in my training session. Strengthening focus, concentration and the mind's ability to overcome discomfort combined with sport-specific drills is the recipe for the athlete that separates him/herself from the crowd. A warmup that engages the full body followed by clear drills that cater to the client's goal ( running, speed,soccer, muscular development), then a cool down. A summary of the weekly drills/progress and the future steps will be discussed.

Neil is awesome! It was evident that he came into every session with a clear training plan. His training really helped me improve, because his sessions had the perfect amount of repetition (to strengthen and improve each time the activity is done) and variation in order to try new (and fun) activities. During training I was also working through an injury, and Neil was very helpful in gearing my workout plan to both accommodate for the injury as well as to strengthen the parts of my body that would help it heal.
