More About Coach Mitchel

I have years of training swimming classes private, semiprivate & swim team and parent & me classes (parent&baby) I have coached facilities all the way to club team and high school level. I have coached and trained at La Petite Baleen San Francisco as well as WaterWorks San Jose. I have worked from ages 2 months all the way to 80 year olds teaching them from the bottom up (how to swim) also people that know how to swim and refining there strokes to get them to the next level wether it is the club team around the corner to HS varsity to College ready swimmers. I am certified CPR & AED

I have swam competitively since I was 5 year old on a swim team. 4 years of High School Varsity swimming as well playing Collegiate Water Polo. Swam for Foothill High School in Pleasanton CA, Club Team Club Sport and played Water Polo at De Anza College and Santa Clara University. In HS I received most outstanding Freshman and junior year and senior year captain of the swim team and water polo team

For beginners I would start with warm up drills then freestyle breaking down each motions (like teaching them big arms) (the roll over longer version of side breathing) but since they are new to swimming you want to start with the basics so they complete it and start swimming and then backstroke to breast stroke & butterfly. For new swimmers there is a bigger routine and more to cover and learn like proper breathing proper arm motion proper breathing and all lessons I will be in the water and be hands on to get the right technique and task I am teaching. More advance swimmers I still will be in the water examining your whole stroke and break it down from head position, elbow and arm position as well as breathing drills and kicking drills and much more.

Client Reviews

Mitchel is awesome, he takes time to understand our goals and then comes up with a plan to reach that goal. He is the best swimming coach. I highly recommend him.
