More About Coach Michael

I have played little league and softball and Double A ball. I played pitcher, catcher, third base and outfield. I also learned how to played shortstop and second base. I coached Little league, and help start a league. I coached little league in the West Ward in Newark from 1992 to 1994 . I coach ages 7 to 11 years old, and I have attended umpire classes for little league. In 2011 I coach East Orange Little league age 7 to 11 years old. I have coach woman's softball as well In softball I was a pitcher, I pitch under hand fast pitch.

I have pitch 4 shut out games and 1 no hitter. In 1978 I played with the 131 street boomers which I pitch and 1 hitter Division Championship. 1979 P.A.L second division championship little league. In 1979131 street bummers softball third base, and won the championship. 1979-1981 I played with the 131 street bummers were I pitched played catcher and third base, two division championship and 1 championship. 1981 I played one year Double A ball as a Pitcher, stop due to work. In 1992-1996 I started playing soft ball .

Coach Mike is very good he taught me to build confidence in myself and he helped me improve a lot since I started with him last year overall he helps you anyway I would recommend him if you want to learn 100%

Unfortunately we had issues with scheduling and communication. Several times sessions were cancelled/missed without notification. Just seemed like it wasn't a priority.

Coach Michael Matthews made sure my daughter understood the mechanics of holding a softball and different techniques of how to pitch. He was very nice and patience. He was prompt and very professional. He made the sessions fun, productive and kept her focused. I can wait to schedule another session!

Coach Michael was great. After one lesson I noticed a difference in my son's patience and throwing ability. He takes time with the kids and is calm and keeps with them till they get it right!

Choose Coach Mike to evaluate and refine my 8 year old QB skills to make him more mobile in the pocket and focus down field for better pass judgment. Also to brake him of some of his bad habits, so far so good.

Jake is progressing nicely. At first he was defeated, felt like he didn't know what he was doing. Coach Mike was honest and direct. Really teaching the fundamentals of the game and letting my son know when he could do better. This was a perfect way for us to enter into baseball for the first time. Jake's confidence grows each week.

We love Coach Michael. Jonathan is motivated and ready to learn, and Coach Michael keeps his attention for the full hour. My son is always excited to go to his coaching sessions, and comes home happy and ready to work on his new skills. This is his first time with a trainer, and it has been worth every penny.

Coach Mike is great with my 8 year old who is trying out for QB. He comes prepared with a game plan and works very well with my son. I bring one of his friends each time to assist with running patterns and taking handoffs and pitches and even their dads are like, " this guy is great". I am very critical of coaches as I coach myself and feel confident recommending Coach Mike for football. Moving forward as the lessons are running out, I am looking at signing up with Mike for a 10 package to carry us through the summer.

After just one session I have seen such a confidence booster in my son. He had a great time training and has taken the tools and techniques taught by Coach Michael and is using them everyday. I can't wait to see his next game and watch him use what he learned.
