The premise is simple for running - your heart is the engine that we will be conditioning. With each workout the client will be making it stronger while they are getting fitter both mentally, physically and cardiovascularly. The secret is to build it up without tearing them down too much. It's big picture to small picture - Big picture is based upon Periodization Training and working with the clients schedule. Working around their schedule is very important as it will ensure success. Three main parts - Building base, Strength, and then Sharpening. Each phase is based upon the type of workouts they will need to reach their goal for the intended distance. We plot each workout months in advance so they can see the rhyme and reason to what they are doing and can make progress.

Small Picture - Each workout is intended to build strength in a different way while providing variation (often more fun) for the athlete. We don't want them to get too bored. At each workout, we meet, discuss the workout plan, jog a bit, stretch, perform the workout (hydration assistance during if needed), stretch at the end, discuss how it went and look forward on the plan to the next step. I am excellent at troubleshooting and have helped many athletes get through a tough patch when they felt there was an obstacle in their way. This includes nutrition, cross training, visualization training and injury recovery.

Oh - in all of this we will find a way to have fun (everyone's idea of fun is different - I will cater to you).
