More About Coach Marcus

I am a JKD/Kali weapons, and self-defense instructor with over 25 years experience. I have taught various Military, Law Enforcement, and civilian agencies. I have been training and teaching since the age of 20 and I fell in love with physical fitness at the age of 16 after seeing and reading about Arnold Schwarzenegger. My love of bodybuilding changed to martial arts after reading an article in Muscle and Fitness magazine about Arnold's admiration of Bruce Lee. Living on the south side of Chicago and being a security bouncer for many years, I have had many encounters where I had to defend myself. My goal for my students is to give back all my experience and knowledge to help them grow and achieve their full potential. See my credentials under Athletic Highlights.
