More About Coach Malachi
I have a strong background in athletics and performance training from playing football for 17 years, most recently as a four-year starter and senior captain for the football program at the Catholic University of America. Since high school, I have also helped train and mentor other players in football, focusing on fundamentals, conditioning, and skill development.
I also worked as an ambassador at F45 Training for about six months, where I supported coaches during group workouts and helped motivate members in a high-energy training environment. I enjoy working with athletes but am comfortable coaching clients of all ages and fitness levels. I am currently enrolled in the Certified Personal Trainer program through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and am working toward completing my certification.
I competed at the collegiate level as a wide receiver for the Catholic University football program, where I was a four-year starter. During my career I earned multiple All-Conference and All-Region honors, including the most All-Conference selections in program history. I also ranked #3 nationally in Division III in kick return average and played a key role on special teams, where I became a major contributor and leader within that unit.
Before college, I earned multiple All-League and All-State honors in high school as a WR and DB. Also set the school record for most receiving yards in a single game. Competing at a high level for many years helped develop my discipline, leadership, and understanding of performance training, which I now aim to bring into my coaching and work with athletes and clients.
Because of my athletic background and years of training experience, I’m very flexible in how I structure sessions and tailor workouts to each athlete’s position, age, and goals. A typical session begins with a dynamic warm-up and movement preparation to improve mobility, coordination, and injury prevention. From there we move into speed, agility, and footwork drills focused on acceleration, change of direction, and overall athletic movement.
I also place a strong emphasis on the fine details of playing football. That includes hand–eye coordination, ball skills, route running, reaction drills, and position-specific technique. The goal is not just to make athletes faster or stronger, but to help them develop the skills, discipline, and confidence needed to perform at a high level on the field. Every session is designed to challenge the athlete while helping them improve in a focused and structured way.
