I have coached middle-school, high-school, college and adult runners in the past 8 years. I took care of everything including but not limited to designing training programs, shoe fittings, social gatherings, fund raisers, injury prevention, injury rehabilitation, season highlight videos, hosting cross-country and track meets, managing volunteer coaches and managers.

In the first meeting I focus on running forms, goal setting, proper running gear, scheduling, training plans, running drills and specific strengthening exercises to correct weaknesses or injuries. If needed, I would perform shoe fitting before the second meeting. I would like to meet 1-2 days per week to work out and expect athletes to run on their own on other days using a plan we create together. I can also evaluate most running injuries, aches and pains.

Coach Maggie was great with my freshmen Daughter in her first session. Taught her how to mentally prepare for a race, how to run a race, and exercises to help strengthen weaknesses in her running form. I contacted Coach Maggie for help after experiencing intense knee pain while running. As a former Olympian who has a history of coaching track and a related advanced degree, I felt very fortunate to have the opportunity to benefit from her experience. During our first session she took great efforts to identify the cause of my knee pain, and began creating a rehab program to get me back to pain-free running. After performing some assisted stretching and proper warmups, I was able to run without pain and farther during our first session than I had been able to for months. On top of this she was able to work around my schedule and fit me in for an introductory session almost immediately. She is a very personable coach and really seems invested in my progress. I had a great first session experience with coach Maggie. She diagnosed all of my running issues and gave me tips to correct them, she discussed and explained the importance of dynamic stretching versus static stretching, went over nutritional needs to achieve the goals I want, and really broke done the program and how the training is going to help me reach my goal. Our cross country and track teams had been an afterthought before Maggie's arrival... In the three and a half years Maggie was here, our running program grew to be the largest participatory sport in the school and we won a Far East Championship in Track and Field. Maggie Brought with her a much-needed exercise science and physiology knowledge set. She always took the time to explain the purpose of each workout and understood immediately the causes and remedies of soreness and injuries... In addition to her immense expertise and leadership skills, Maggie fostered a family atmosphere on our teams... On a personal level, Maggie had an incredible impact on my son and therefore my family. Danny was a below average middle school student and somewhat above average runner. His freshman grades were not much better. Under Maggie's leadership he has blossomed as a runner, a student, and as a young man. Following Maggie's instruction he finally leaned the value of hard work and the resulting success. largely due to Maggie's mentorship, he is now a senior on the high honor roll and has multiple opportunities to continue his running career in college. I do not know where he would be today if it had not been for having Maggie as a coach and role model.
