More About Coach Lois
I have devoted myself to sharing yoga with students and teachers in New York City and the Hamptons for 25 years. I have 1000s of hours of yoga training and have trained 1000s of students in the United States and abroad. I work with students of all levels and all ages and I delight in getting newcomers started on the path to well-being as well as raising the bar for advanced practitioners. I lead a weekly Injury Clinic in East Hampton to empower people to heal and prevent injuries of all sorts and have an intimate knowledge of how bodies work and why they sometimes break down. I'm an E-RYT 500 which is a highest level of credential one can get as a yoga teacher.
I was a leader in the Anusara Yoga community and have studied the history and philosophy of yoga with the world’s top scholars. I also practiced Mysore-style Ashtanga yoga for almost ten years, immersing myself in the power of breath-oriented flow.
Lessons are usually one hour and can be at my home studios in New York City or East Hampton. I can also come to you if you live/work in Manhattan or the Hamptons. I customize the lessons based on your body, your patterns, your strengths and weaknesses to meet your unique needs. I am usually in Manhattan from mid-afternoon Mondays till Thursday or Friday mornings, and in East Hampton from Thursday (or Friday) mid-afternoon through Monday mornings.

Kim R. (Testimonial)
I had experienced Lois Nesbitt’s teaching over the course of a couple of years and my own practice grew under her mentoring. She provides very clear, concise directions. I found myself learning more than ever before about alignment, breath work and philosophy. It was all woven into every class with Lois in a playful yet constructive way.
