More About Coach Kyley

Head Jumps coach at Lincoln High School in Portland, Oregon for the past 8 years, specializing in the High Jump. Former professional Track and Field Athlete and Oregon Duck alum with an extensive knowledge base. Competed at the highest level in the sport qualifying for the Olympic Trials final in 2008. Still competing in Masters Track & Field. Have coached multiple district champions, state champions, and school record holder throughout my coaching career. Very passionate about the sport and eager to pass along my knowledge to those wanting to improve.

Typical session plan will consist of a jumper specific warmup with drills catered to warming up the muscles specifically for jumping, followed by technique drills catered to the specific athlete's needs. Jumping technique sessions will consist of specific direction to work on athletes current deficiencies, while trying to accentuate the athlete's strengths. This will be accompanied by simultaneous video analysis for the athlete.
Can also work with the athlete for general workout sessions aimed to improve jumping ability including: plyometrics, resistance training, sprint work, etc.
