More About Coach Kyle
I Have 8 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level and one year at the high school level. I spent four years as an assistant coach (2019-22) at the NAIA level at University of the Southwest. I spent the past four years (2022-2026) as an assistant coach at Solano Junior College. My first job was coaching high school at Armijo High School in 2018. I Have done lessons with kids 7 and up throughout my time coaching in college. I have also coached college summer baseball in Casper, Wyoming for the Casper Horseheads (2019) and I am currently the head coach of the Solano Mudcats in the Pacific Empire League.
I competed as a football and baseball player in high school winning a section championship in football at Pleasant Grove High School in Elk Grove, California. I moved on to play baseball at Solano Junior College in Fairfield, California where we made a super regional my freshman year. I started off as a third baseman and pitcher but transitioned to solely pitching in my time there.
A typical session depends on the age of the athlete and the preferred instruction focus (pitching, hitting, fielding, etc.) I work primarily with pitchers at the college level but assist with hitters and defense as well. I have given lessons and run camps instructing all aspects of the game and am very comfortable teaching everything with kids all the way through high school age. The first lesson will be primarily an evaluation of the athlete to see what they may need to focus on as well as useful drills and techniques to use. From there the lessons will be pinpointed on working one or two things per lesson that I feel are the biggest necessities. We have access to Rapsodo data tracking for pitching and hitting as well as other equipment we use for the college.
