More About Coach Keyren

I have had the priviledge to work with young athletes, as well as college athletes and adults, since 2010. The ages range from 8 years old all the way to the elderly. I was an assistant strength & conditioning coach at East Carolina University for 1 year with the Track, Football, Volleyball, Golf and Baseball teams under Coach Michael Golden. I have worked with high school (Rose, South Central, North Pitt, D.H. Conley, Washington, Tarboro, Fork Union Military) football players as well as collegiate (ECU, Wofford, Gardner-Webb) & professional (NFL - Pittsburg Steelers / NFL Europe - Rhein Fire) football players. I have worked with middle school soccer, basketball, cross-country and softball athletes. I have worked with a wide range of adults and adult couples. The age group I typically work with is from 8 - 18. I currently do not have any industry certifications, but am in the process of studying to take the CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist) exam. I have a conditioning program called K.U.W.P. CONDITIONING that is for anyone (primarily athletes)

I played Defensive Back for East Carolina University (1998 - 2001) under Head Coach Steve Logan & Head Strength and Conditioning Coaches Jeff Connors & Jim Whitten
I was the defensive scout team player of the year in 2000.
I had the highest power clean (335 pounds) and back squat (565 pounds) amongst all the defensive backs while I was at East Carolina University.

My sessions will be challenging (physically & mentally) and will provide a learning experience that can be used in sports & in everyday life.
I will do my best to condition the athlete specifically to what their goals are and improve any weaknesses while at the same time providing effective feedback.
I expect the athlete to do their best, have a good attitude, be coachable and be dedicated & disciplined.
I focus on precise execution of techniques that will be used in exercises / drills.
Plyometrics, resistance for speed / power / strength, agility, quickness, coordination, linear & lateral speed, conditioning are the primary areas I focus on.
The content of my workouts depend on the goals and weaknesses of the athlete.
