More About Coach Kevin
Former long/triple jump coach for a high school. I have coached high school and junior college athletes privately, typically working with these age groups. I hold a USATF Level 1 Coaching certification and am a Myofascial Decompression Certified provider (MFDc). Coached an athlete to reach the 2021 US Olympic Team Trials in the triple jump, placing 5th out of 24 competitors.
I am currently competing at the post-collegiate level. I have competed for University of California, Santa Barbara's NCAA Division I program.
A session will be dependent on the goals of the athlete. I will first have them go through an effective dynamic warm-up to activate the different muscles and joints to be used in the workouts, then follow-up with technical work before going into more demanding activity. Will then focus on the corrective foundation before adding different factors into the mix (speed, technique, load). Once technical work has been practiced, the core of the workout will begin. After the workout is complete, we will focus on actively cooling down the body by dynamic stretching and drills to keep the body loose for recovery.
