More About Coach Kenneth
I currently serve as the Head Track & Field Coach at St. Augustine High School, with more than 15 years of coaching experience across the youth, high school, and collegiate levels. I am a USATF Level 2 certified endurance coach.
Accomplished former NCAA Division I All-American middle-distance runner at California State University San Marcos, former Nike Farm Team professional track athlete, and two-time USATF Masters Outdoor National Champion.
A typical session with me is structured, purposeful, and tailored to the athlete’s event, fitness level, and stage of the season. For middle-distance athletes competing in the 400m through 3200m, every workout is designed to build the specific combination of speed, strength, endurance, and race awareness needed to perform at a high level.
Throughout the workout, I focus on more than just completing reps. I coach athletes on pacing, breathing rhythm, body position, arm action, relaxation under effort, and how to finish strongly when fatigued. I also help athletes understand why they are doing each workout so they become smarter, more confident competitors.
