I have 27 years of experience in both high school and elite travel ball. I currently have over 20 players who are playing in college or professionally. I have been a head baseball coach for high school. I have also coached elite travel teams ranging from 14U-18U. I work with athletes who range from age 6-20.

I played 3 years of high school baseball. I started coaching my 2nd year out of high school. I was a coach for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim High School Elite Team for 15 years coaching many of the elite high school players from Southern California who went on to play in college or the professional ranks.

Hitting Session: We start with T-work. We move the ball all around the plate so that hitters gain confidence hitting a pitch that is outside, middle, inside, down, and up. During this time we focus on load, hand position, using your legs in your swing, and keeping your eyes down through contact. We then move to side toss and focus on hitting a moving ball. Our next progression is front underhand toss, again working on hitting the ball back through the middle of the cage. Our last progression is live hitting. Each session is 1 hour in length.

Work thru proper mechanics of how the body moves, how your body moves, and how we can make your body move more effectively and efficiently.
Towel Drills
Work on visualization and focus on hitting your target. Fastball, change up progression to off speed out of wind-up and stretch.
Talk about the how and why of pitching and how to set hitters up and learning to be confident in all of your pitches.
Each session is approximately 1 hour

Coach Kennard's. Was so great. He help my son in so many ways. In just one lesson. He help my son with his hitting.

Coach Kapono is an amazing hitting instructor. My son easily connect with him and within minutes we’re on the same page. Coach Kap challenges players mentally in a positive way which will most definitely increase their baseball IQ. As first lessons go, this was fantastic for player and dad.

Great lesson!

We had a great first session with Coach Kap today. He was patient and was able to explain how my son could stand better and improve his swing. He also gave great practice tips and things he could do ahead of our next session that will help strengthen the correct way to stand and swing. Great skills

We have finished up our 1st session with Coach Kennard and my son thought he was GREAT! My sons been struggling with his hitting and at his last game my husband told him "remember what coach Kennard showed you" and he got his 1st solid hit for the season. This was after one session I am excited to see him improve over the next several sessions.
