More About Coach Kelly
My coaching experience started as an early teen coaching little league cheerleaders. As a young adult I became a group fitness instructor at the YMCA. I eventually decided to obtain my Level 1 Coaching Certificate through USATF and started a youth track and field club in 2021 with my husband where we train athletes at all skill levels ranging in age from 5-18yrs old.
I competed at the Division 1 level in Track and Field at Illinois State University. While there I competed in the triple jump and sprint relays becoming a seven-time All-Conference performer in the triple jump and 4-time All-Conference performer in the 4x100m relay.
A typical session with me will always encompass the following:
1. Warmup (laps, sprinter/jumper drills)
2. Main course (may include plyometrics/long or short sprints/strength building with or without weights/circuit training) Note:
this portion of the session depends on the needs of the athlete to support their goals
3. Wrap up (core training)
