More About Coach Kathryn
I started running as an adult, and I'm now a certified coach through RRCA and I am currently coaching several adult runners on distances of 5k through half marathon!
I have run all over the country, and made friends all over the world because of my involvement in the running community. I have run more than 40 races at the 5k distance, 8 half marathons, 4 Ragnar Relays, several mud runs, and a full marathon.
I will start with a dynamic warm up of squats, lunges, high knees and butt kickers. Each session's main workout will be tailored to meet the specific needs of the runner and their goals. This could mean working on speed, increasing fitness, or focusing on a race-specific goal. The session will end with feedback received from the athlete in case any modifications need to be made, as well as instructions as to what exercises the athlete should do outside of coaching sessions.

Day 1 ... within the first 5 minutes Coach Kathryn spent time getting to know me and understanding how I learn. I asked about my posture, my stride, my foot placement, my breathing and I can’t recall what all else, and she gave me simple and easy to understand instructions. Coach KK is just what I needed to restart my exercise routine. She customizes workouts to whatever intensity you are ready for and is very flexible if you need to reschedule or take a pause from training. The run-walk method she promotes is a great introduction to running for beginners and for preventing burnout for advanced runners. She has lots of helpful advice about all things related to the sport and ensures proper warmups/stretches. With her cheerful, friendly coaching style the session time flies by and running doesn’t seem like a chore but a fun way to work out. Highly recommend Coach KK!

On our first meeting I I told Coach Kathryn that I can't even run a mile but I want to train for a marathon. She was definitely up for the challenge. She was very encouraging, on our first day we ran 2.5 miles and I didn't even realize how the time went by. It is a lot of fun to train with her and she is super patient with a beginner like me.
