I am a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer with 7+ years of personal training experience. I have coached and trained athletes ages 10-70 in Oregon, Washington, and Alabama, with an emphasis on the high school athlete. I have worked with athletes training for football, soccer and lacrosse, but have an expertise in track and field.

Was very knowledgeable and patient

We scheduled Kate to help our 10 year old son improve his sprinting mechanics for soccer. We couldn't be happier with the session. Kate observed our son's running technique, had him do some specific drills, and left us with some simple but very effective exercises and focus points to keep in mind after the session.

It's amazing how effective one session with Kate has been - by the end of the hour he looked noticeably faster! He is now running with better technique - and most importantly with substantially more confidence. We would recommend Kate to anyone.

Coach Kate was an excellent coach for my daughter, and tailored the time to exactly what we wanted! Very organized with the workouts and also varied them so that they were slightly different each time. Looking forward to working with her again soon!

Coach Kate has been tremendous. She's taken the time to understand our son's needs and then has adapted and developed a training program that serves his improvement. Kate Conwell is an excellent coach. Kate has strong command of the technical details of pole vault and can convey her experience and insights clearly. She has a grasp of individual needs, coaching both a boy and girl at the same time who are at very different levels, with no issues keeping them both engaged and progressing well. Kate has a firm but empathetic personal style that is motivating. And, she has the chops -- having accomplished a great deal in pole vault herself. She speaks with authority, from experience, and she gets results. We love working with Kate.

I started working out with Kate when I was 45. She was my very first personal trainer and had to teach me everything from scratch. She put a lot of work into designing workouts that matched my short, medium and long-range goals. While too challenging to strictly be called fun, her workouts are never boring so the time tends to pass quickly. She mixes it up a lot and is a master at working multiple muscle groups with a single exercise and at using equipment creatively. She has the knowledge and experience to work her clients hard without injury, which was important to me. In addition to the workouts, Kate was a great resource on nutrition and healthy choices in general, and a super role model. Thanks to Kate I tightened up, increased my strength, flexibility and balance, and ran a marathon. She would still be my trainer if she weren’t 2500+ miles away; I cannot recommend her highly enough!
