More About Coach Kara
I am a strength and conditioning coach with six years of experience both as a coach and as an intern. I have worked with athletes from the youth to professional level. I have experience working/interning at UMass Amherst, Boston University , UMass Lowell , Merrimack & UMaine. I currently hold my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification (CSCS).
I played Hockey throughout high school, playing Varsity hockey at Austin Prep and club hockey for the Islanders Hockey club. During my time at Austin Prep I won one MA State championship. While with the Islanders I played both at the Tier I and Tier II level winning a MA state championship at the u16 level.
A client can expect a session focused on growth, skill development, and improving overall athletic performance. I prioritize enhancing an athlete’s movement patterns, strength, and conditioning through targeted drills and techniques tailored to their goals. Each session also emphasizes building a strong relationship, so clients feel supported and motivated while learning and improving. Typically, I start with a warm-up to prepare the body for movement, then move into plyometric and strength based movements, and finish with conditioning or mobility work to ensure a well-rounded, effective session.
