More About Coach Kaitlyn
I have 6+ years of coaching experience at all levels- elementary, middle, high school , AAU, and collegiately. The majority of my experience has been coaching mid-distance and distance events, as well as cross country. I am currently the head cross country coach and assistant track and field coach at a division III university, which I started in June 2023. Prior to this job, I coached middle school and high school cross country and track and field for four years in Robbinsville, NC, and while in college I was a volunteer with the JC Run Club and Heritage High School.
Even though mid-distance and distance runners are my specialty, I also have coached sprinters and field events- mostly pole vaulters. I also include emphasis on mobility training and injury prevention in my training.

Certifications:

I competed in middle school track and field in 7th and 8th grade, then all four years in high school. I competed in the 400m, 800m, 1000m, 1600m, 4x400M, and 4x800M. During high school I earned various awards including, All Conference Honorable Mention, All Conference, the 4x800 School Record, Regional Champion, State Qualifier, All-State, State Runner Up and my favorite award- the Sportsmanship award.
I joined the cross country team my 10th grade year and continued to competed in cross country for the remainder of my time in high school. During high school I received All Conference Honorable Mention, Coaches Award and State Qualifier.
After high school, I went on to attend Milligan College and competed on their cross country and track and field team for one year. While there my team and I earned 2nd place at our conference championships.
I then transferred to Maryville College and competed on their cross country team (used to not have a track team, but now they do). During my time at Maryville, I earned All Conference Honorable Mention, USA South Atlantic Conference All-Academic Team with distinction, and my team held the school record for best team score in our schools cross country history at the time.
A typical training session will include a warmup with agilities, a workout focused on that athletes experience and event, with a cooldown and mobility drills.

Client Reviews
Megan (CoachUp client)
Coach K was a great coach - really met my athlete where he was at and worked on improving from there. Improved his long jump (what we were working on) by almost a full foot in 2 sessions. Will DEFINITELY work with her in the future.
