More About Coach Justin

2016-D1 Sports Training: Here I coached the kids classes and did individual personal training. The kids I trained worked on basic mobility using ladders, cones, and core stabilization. My personal training clients, however, were adults that were either former athletes or current athletes. Also coached pro day and combine prep technique. 2015- Independence High School, Tight End Coach : Coached TightEnds during the second half of the seson when I moved to Charlotte upon finishing up with the NFL. Incorporated technique that completely changed my players game and it was noticeable in the game film.

-- 10 years combined training and playing at an elite level.
-- Ranked #23 TightEnd in the Nation by Rivals.com. #20 Scout.com. #30 Overall athlete in Georgia
-- Earned over 30 offers by the end of my senior year.
-- In my first ever college game backing up NY Giants Wr Dwayne Harris, I caught a notorious game-winning Hail Mary, finishing the game with 4 catches for 55yds and 1 TD.
-- Held the SportsCenter #1 top play across ALL athletics for 3 weeks in a row.
-- 3x elected captain of the East Carolina Football offense, voted on by my coaches and teammates. During this time we earned 5 rings, finished back to back conference champions, and went to bowl games every year. Also received numerous weight room achievements, breaking 3 school records for Tight Ends in Bench Press, Power Clean, and Vertical Jump.
-- Signed NFL contracts with the New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs.

My program consists of 2 types of sessions : In-season and Offseason, the season the athlete is in is the program we begin with. A major portion of both programs is what I call "Mental Warfare". This aspect of my training focuses on the mind of the athlete. With experience, at any level, something kind of "clicks" and the game slows down, and I believe that a major key to unlocking potential is being able to get the "click" to happen as soon as possible. You will be able to read a defense like a Quarterback, giving you the opportunity to run option routes, a MAJOR play call at the next level This gives my athletes the mentality of an experienced player before they even step on the field, and propels them ahead of their peers from a preparation standpoint. From a physical standpoint, I install the fundamental footwork necessary to be both a elite pass catcher/route runner in addition to being a dominant blocker. Cone Work, Ladder Drills, and Routes are all includes as well. Remember, at the ALL levels, the more you can do/know on the field, the more valuable you are!

Lastly, an important component to my development as a player was the relationships I built with my coaches over the years. I not only look to coach, but also MENTOR my athletes. Working together to accomplish goals, and establishing a relationship with each other is something that helped me throughout my career so, naturally, that will translate into my coaching!
