More About Coach Julian
I have four years experience coaching football for varsity and junior varsity. I was the defensive line coach and helped mostly for the defense those four years. I coached at Jonesville high school, Jonesville Mi, and Fulton High school, Middleton Michigan. I also made the weightlifting programs there for off season and in season workouts. I work with the student athletes between ages 12 - 19. I have been certified in the Bigger Faster Stronger program.
In high school I was first team all conference as an offensive guard in football, two years in basketball I was awarded the 110% hustle award. I went on to play college football at Albion College. I was on Varsity all four years for Albion, starting my Junior and Senior year on the Defensive line. My junior year in college I was awarded the IRON man award by my coaches, my senior year I was awarded the Unsung Hero award by my coaches and the Pete Schmidt award by the Detroit Free Press Hall of Fame.
A client can expect to give his 100% every session as I will give my 100% in teaching and preparing any client. The client should expect to learn more about his position and workouts and should be comfortable asking questions to learn.
I focus on fundamentals such as stance, posture, footwork, hand placement, quickness and power. All these go hand in hand and most athletes usually leave out or slack in using these simple maneuvers.
I start out by looking at the athletes stance and posture. It can be on the field or the weight room, athletic stance is a key. For Defensive line work, it would be coming out of stance, hand placement, quickness and power. What the eyes are looking for and what to feel for. Pressure vs pressure. Reach block vs. pass block vs. traps ect.
