More About Coach Jovon
I’ve worked with athletes if all calibers. Middle school, high school, college & professional athletes.
I’ve worked as a trainer at Gold’s gym. I work with all age groups, from 10 - 65years.
I have ACE personal training certification.
I competed in the 2008 Beijing Olympics in the 4x400m relay. I made 2 World Championships teams. Competed at the University of Florida. Won the SEC indoor 4x400m relay freshman year. We won NCAA men’s team all 4 years in college. Multi All-American.
High school national championship 3 years in a row.
National junior 4x400m record holder.
For athletes, I focus on speed, acceleration, agility, change of direction, explosive power, strength development, and injury prevention. Sessions may include sprint mechanics, plyometrics, reaction drills, footwork exercises, strength training, and sport-specific movement patterns. As a former Olympian and elite track athlete, I place a strong emphasis on proper running mechanics, movement efficiency, and maximizing power output.
For general fitness clients, I focus on building strength, improving conditioning, enhancing mobility, increasing functional movement, and helping them achieve goals such as weight loss, muscle gain, or overall health improvement.
Every session is structured with a purpose: warm-up, skill or movement development, strength and conditioning work, and a cool-down/recovery phase. I prioritize proper technique, progressive overload, and measurable results while creating a challenging but supportive environment that helps clients perform at their highest level and stay healthy long-term.
