My training tends to my clients weakness, and the ability to consistently perform their strengths and weakness at a high level. Turning their weakness into Muscle memory is how we break it, these things are not easy and Im not easy on them but they will see and feel the results. Being great at Basketball or any sport you have to sacrifice your time, money, and social needs to your craft.

My son has been seeing Coach Johnson for a few sessions now. Coach Johnson has been very professional and very helpful. I don’t think my son really new what he needed but coach Johnson jumped right in and got straight to work. My son has shown a great deal of progress with just a few sessions. He has become a little more confident and states that practice has always been the fun part of basketball and it’s coaches like Coach Johnson that are the reason for that. We highly recommend him.
James (CoachUp client)
Coach Josh is exactly what I was looking for in an instructor for my son. Good basic fundamentals along with repetitiousness for an entire hour is what my son needs.

Coach Josh was exactly what we were looking for. My boys are 12 and 10, and have had sporadic success with various coaches throughout the years, but Josh has just the right mix of toughness, organization, knowledge, and experience and my boys really responded well to his methods. I've seen too many coaches who are just going through the motions, so I was happy to find a coach who really seemed to care about the kids development. I would highly recommend Josh for any kids looking to improve their game or find a solid club environment.
Jarret (CoachUp client)
Josh is an excellent teacher, I'd recommend him to anyone looking to reach the next level. 5+ stars!

Coach Josh is great at teaching the fundamentals. He has helped my child with proper technique and pushes my son hard but is also patient while doing this. He is the best of both, which is what you want in a coach.
Lisa (CoachUp client)
Coach pushes the athletes to reach their max potential. He's very positive and has already given my son a boost of confidence.
Adam (CoachUp client)
If I had the option to rate Coach Johnson six stars, I'd argue for seven! I approached Coach Johnson as a collegiate soccer athlete playing basketball for the first time. Right off the bat, Johnson pushed me into very challenging drills that spurred my growth sharply. Josh focused on high intensity ball handling work that worked both hands equally as to eliminate a weak hand and explosive offensive drills. His critique of my shooting form was precise, actionable and constructive. I found myself actively correcting my own faults after he explained the body mechanics. After a few sessions, I already developed great handles and was working on the speed of my footwork. Not too long after, I started beating competitive athletes in 1 on 1's. For anyone wanting to learn a sport seriously, Josh is the right way to go. Thank you for your mentorship! Be seeing you soon.
Lucy (CoachUp client)
Coach Josh was literally out of this world!! I’ve never seen my sons face the way I did after his first session. He even said that he never knew his body could be pushed in such a challenging way. The second session was also amazing. I was late about 10 minuets and so was the Coach’s next victim (lol) so he had my boy lifting weights like a beast! I loved seeing him struggle because that was proof he was working his hardest. I’m more than blessed to have Coach Josh and my son too he so looks forward to the next session and was disappointed when I had to cancel one of them for another day. He even wanted to see him on the weekend. Definitely going to be adding more sessions and recommending this talented coach!!

Coach Josh does a great job. He constantly challenges my son, age 14, to get better. I feel like my son is treated like a professional trainer treats a professional athlete. I mean that in a good way.
Jordan (CoachUp client)
Amazing coach great in technique and helps their whole game
Jennifer (CoachUp client)
My son really enjoyed his first session with Coach Josh. I really like that Josh teaches the fundamentals that are so important for my son to build upon. We are definitely setting up more sessions!
Matt Murken Head Men's Basketball Coach Minot State University (Testimonial)
To Whom It May Concern: It is with pleasure and ease to write a letter of recommendation for Josh Johnson. I first became acquainted with Josh during his senior year at Minot State University. I was hired as the new head coach with our basketball team and Josh was a senior captain for our program. Josh was a tremendous worker, a valued teammate, a dedicated student-athlete and was a great asset to our program. After that season, Josh completed his eligibility and followed his passion for basketball to the professional rank, but he and I have stayed in contact. During the past nine years I have had the opportunity to watch Josh continue to grow into a very mature and responsible young man, a passionate basketball coach and a selfless leader in his community. Josh is without a doubt a hard worker, he can balance different responsibilities with passion and energy. The quality that I admire most in him, and the characteristic that I feel will help him most in his career as a coach, is his ability to connect with a wide range of people from all backgrounds. Our basketball program at Minot State has great diversity, and Josh was an important piece to our team chemistry due to his ability to be both a compassionate friend and also a highly respected individual to all those different people. He was a unifying figure on our basketball team that led by example on a daily basis. He has a knack for knowing what an individual person needs at any given time; whether that be praise, humor, encouragement or just a listening ear. That is most certainly a characteristic that he has continued to excel at in his coaching career. Additionally, Josh is well prepared and versatile in his communication abilities. He is also highly motivated to help others succeed and passionate about his career path. In my time knowing Josh I have found him to respond well to critical review and to see the benefits of constructive criticism. I have no hesitation in recommending Josh Johnson for any possible position. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Matt Murken Head Men's Basketball Coach Minot State University
