My primary emphasis has been coaching athletes of various levels of beginner to most advanced in helping them prepare for the physical demands of their sport.

Warm up:
-Foam Rolling
-Reset Drills (re-position pelvis for optimal function)
-Low level mobility/activation

Dynamic Warm up:
-Full body ROM (Range of Motion) drills

Tech warm up:
-Drills specific to that days primary goal (Upper Body / Lower Body / Sprint work specific)

Application:
-Sprint work / plyometrics / anything explosive that is primary emphasis

Strength Training:
Depends on primary emphasis is for the day, more of a Tier System approach as made popular by NFL Strength Coach Joe Kenn.

The Tier System is most notably a Total Body Lift and that rotates the "main" exercise for the day.

Example: (the most intense lift with be first, and the other lifts for that day are secondary of importance)

Wednesday: 1)Press 2)Deadlift 3)Squat 4)Accessory Lifts
Friday: 1)Deadlift 2)Squat 3)Press 4)Accessory Lifts

Energy System Development:
-Depends on time of season , athletes needs and goals

Regeneration:
-Get athlete into parasympathetic state to relax for rest of day (breathing drills to recover from workout)

Working with Josh has been a lot of fun. He is knowledgeable and emphasizes correct form which is fundamental to any exercise. He works with just about anyone and will individualize plans depending on goal. He also tracks your progress so you can see how you develop both visually and statistically with weights/times. Cool equipment/great environment. Would stay away if you dislike lame jokes but for the results, I'd put up with it.

Athletic Preparation is the spot to be if you're an athlete looking to get bigger, faster or stronger! The first 6-weeks of training, my bench went from 255 to 305. In the past, the best I ever benched was 275 and training at Athletic Prepartion helped me crush that. The training is hard, but very effective and it makes you a better athlete, not just tired.
Josh is one of a kind when it comes to strength and speed training. He knows how to push you farther than you have ever gone before and it's super enjoyable having him right by your side. It's been a pleasure knowing Josh for these past couple of years and having him guide me through the training process and help me achieve success on the football field.
Each summer Josh helps me tremendously in my preparation for the upcoming seasons. He focuses on my functional movements and helps correct any imperfections I may have develop through the course of a long, demanding Hockey season. Collegiate level baseball is a huge leap from competing in high school, but obtainable for anyone willing to seek out the right resources/trainers and have a great work ethic. I know I would not be where I am today without the timeless help of Josh Gibson. Through working on strength, flexibility, and range of motion or flexibility he has made me a better ballplayer. He continues to help me today even while I am playing baseball in North Carolina. If you are serious about your sport, Josh is a good resource to have to improve your game.
